FAQ

Who do I work for?

Anyone ( well almost anyone ) who's willing to pay a reasonable fee. Whether it's for advertising, publishing, packaging, editorial, greetings cards or any other use you can think of. You name it I'll illustrate it!

How much do I charge?

That depends on the job. How long it will take, the type of usage, whether it's full colour or monochrome etc...I'll be happy to negotiate a fair price.

Do I take on speculative work?

As a rule, no...I don't work for nothing!

Who owns copyright?

ME, ME, ME!!! Unless otherwise agreed. See terms and conditions.

How do I work?

I always start with pencil and paper, to create roughs. For clearer roughs I may add black pen and erase the pencil. Then depending on which 'style' you require I draw out the image in black line and scan it in to Adobe Photoshop, then colour the artwork digitally.
When working in Adobe Illustrator, I scan in the pencil ( or pen ) rough and place it as a template, then work over the top to create the finished image. Grayscale images can be produced using either technique. Black and line artwork can be either hand drawn, or generated in Illustrator.

How do I supply artwork?

I supply all work digitally, on CD, emailed, or uploaded to an FTP site. It depends on your requirements and the size of the files in question.
